Three of my paintings will be included in this month’s exhibiton at Ashe County Arts Center, a show about the relationship between art, artists, and nature. I contributed two plied air paintings created during my Wild Acres residency and one work from my new Forest Bathing series.

As a landscape painter, time spent in nature provides endless inspiration and education about the light, color, and atmosphere. In the last several years, I have worked to develop a practice of plein air painting, but find that my outdoor experiences also greatly inform my abstract and studio paintings.
