“After Dinner Sprint”
When our kids were young, we had a tradition of racing on the beach after dinner. We aimed to tire them, but the energy and connection of those evenings was inspiring. As these children become vibrant young adults, I see the influence of these moments of wide open, carefree expression on them, and how highly their Dad is esteemed for demonstrating that zeal and orchestrating these memories.

Artist and Visionary Deborah Triplett was a force of creativity. Her Yard Art Day project and her encouragement inspired many creative-leaning people, including myself, to try on the identity of Artist. Deborah’s influence on my journey was foundational. This portrait, created the week of her passing in 2023, is painted on a repurposed cabinet door, a reminder to make art where you are, with what you have, and “find joy beauty in everything”.
