The landscape of the NC mountains is a frequent subject of my work and the "Entering Wilkes" is the first in my "Road Trip" series featuring the breathtaking views of the High Country, as encountered on my frequent drives to Ashe County. The mountains rising up ahead never cease to inspire me.
